Reed Benoit

Senior Associate

Reed is deeply committed to developing sustainable, holistic solutions to the challenges presented by our changing climate. Environmental management, energy security, and climate change resilience are some of the most pressing issues facing society today, and Reed firmly believes in Quantified Ventures’ approach of leveraging innovative, outcomes-based financing to address these challenges in ways that serve both the environment and local communities.

Reed joins Quantified Ventures following the completion of an MBA and a Masters of Science in Foreign Service at Georgetown University, through which he focused on impact-finance and climate change mitigation. During that time, Reed further explored these areas by conducting research on green and thematic bonds at the US Treasury’s Office of Infrastructure, Energy, and Investment, by preparing a range of renewable energy project financing deals at the Development Finance Corporation, and by developing complex models capturing the financial cost of non-resilient infrastructure for the International Finance Corporation’s Green Buildings Team. Prior to Georgetown, Reed worked in international education as a Princeton in Asia Teaching Fellow in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Outside of work, Reed enjoys film photography, cooking, and exploring D.C.’s many museums and movie theaters. Reed is originally from the Redwood forests of Arcata, California, which he believes might be the most beautiful place on Earth.
