Natural Climate Solutions protect, manage, and restore ecosystems for the benefit of nature and people, to support creation of climate resilient communities. Research indicates that natural climate solutions can contribute approximately 35% of the mitigation needed by 2030 to limit warming to less than 2° Celsius.

Our team works to connect climate investments to innovative conservation, watershed, forests, and land use projects by leveraging ecosystem markets, blended capital stacks, and outcomes-based models.

We advance nature-positive initiatives and projects in two primary ways:

  1. Support projects from concept to implementation with a focus on funding, financing, and long-term operating needs.

  2. Leverage funding and financing expertise to expand the market for ecosystem services and natural climate solutions.

Representative Partnerships and Projects

A knowledge gap stands between watershed and conservation organizations searching for funding and their ability to develop nature-based solutions that qualify for public financing. QV works with stakeholders across the environmental sector to ensure nature-based solutions and smaller, more vulnerable communities have equitable access to public dollars.

A report published by EDF and Quantified Ventures identified 5 replicable repayment streams that communities and conservation groups can use to access financing for natural infrastructure such as wetlands, floodplain restoration, and riparian buffers. This blog highlights 3 key takeaways to advance natural infrastructure we found after speaking with conservation finance experts and State Revolving Fund leaders about our report.

Carbon markets, offsets, and insets help facilitate nature-based solutions and can serve as a bridge to making bigger things happen. For Quantified Ventures, our project partners, and the buyers we work with, high quality credits are a requirement. They are more highly valued and align with our focus on predicting, measuring, and reporting the verified outcomes of a project to transparently demonstrate value.

Client Testimonials

Quantified Ventures designed, managed and helps us close the nation’s first Environmental Impact Bond, a Pay for Success transaction. They served as an invaluable partner to DC Water as we embarked upon our inaugural foray into the impact investing space through this green infrastructure project. I am delighted to recommend QV without reservation to any organization.
— MARK KIM, FORMER CFO, DC WATER
Environmental Impact Bonds draw significant interest from ESG-oriented investors. One muni ESG portfolio manager described the Hampton EIB as ‘the gold standard for muni green bond issuance’ and expressed hope that other issuers would move in the same direction.
— ZACH SOLOMON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND HEAD OF PUBLIC FINANCE PROJECT FINANCE AND SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP, MORGAN STANLEY
A huge strength of the Soil and Water Outcomes Fund model is that farmers are compensated more for practice changes because of the program’s ability to achieve water and climate benefits. That is a really exciting part of the program and a reason why PepsiCo continues to expand its work with SWOF.
