As Vice President of the Quantified Ventures Health and Human Services team, Alison Rein is dedicated to mobilizing new sources of capital to advance creative, cross-sector, and collaborative solutions to thorny issues in public and population health.
With over 20 years of experience in the strategic consulting and healthcare fields, Alison excels at strategy and partnership development, innovation and design thinking, collaborative network building, sustainable financing, and program design and execution. An entrepreneurial thinker, Alison champions the use of data to generate evidence and insights that can inform new approaches to old problems. She brings substantive expertise in community-based health improvement, healthcare financing. measurement and evaluation, health information technology and exchange, consumer health tech, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining Quantified Ventures, Alison served as Senior Director at AcademyHealth, where she partnered with public and private sector funders to advance population health improvement, drive toward delivery system transformation, and accelerate research capacity. She has also held roles as Assistant Director of food and health policy at the National Consumers League, and as a Practice Director conducting health economic outcomes and market research on behalf of life sciences and other healthcare clients.
Alison earned a B.A. in English, and an M.S. in public policy analysis from the University of Rochester. A 23 year resident of the nation’s capital, she considers Washington, D.C., home. When she’s not strategizing about financing health outcomes, Alison enjoys dancing, cooking for friends, trying her best at beach volleyball, and goofing around with her son.
