MArk lambert, DIRECTOR
Mark is an impact investing and environmental finance professional that brings a passion for regenerative agriculture, food systems and sustainability-themed real assets to Quantified Ventures.
Mark came to us from WaterMark Resource Development, a specialized project development and finance company that finances, builds, acquires, owns and operates water infrastructure assets, with a focus on new water resources, supply side management, storm water and water re-use opportunities.
Previously, Mark was Director at Farmland LP, a private equity investment fund that acquires conventional farmland and converts it to regeneratively managed, certified organic farmland. In this position, Mark focused on financial and investment analysis, sustainability and impact reporting, strategic partnership development, and the management and implementation of conservation and environmental markets projects.
Prior to Farmland LP, Mark held positions as Principal and Director at Terra Global Capital, where he supported the fund raising and build out of a Colombian sustainable agriculture and forestry private equity fund. Additionally, he was responsible for business development, grant writing and implementation of a portfolio of sustainable agriculture and forestry projects across Asia and North America. In this position, Mark worked closely with local forest dependent communities, private sector financiers and governments, and led the execution of one of first ever international land-use carbon projects (in Cambodia).
Mark was also employed in Hong Kong as an analyst for a private equity fund investing in wastewater and clean-tech opportunities across China.
Mark earned his BA from the University of California, Berkeley, where he designed a custom major combining Environmental Science Policy & Management with Business Administration. As a native Californian based in Oakland, Mark enjoys backpacking, fly fishing and seeking out the best fish tacos.
