As Director of the Quantified Ventures health team, Alison Rein is dedicated to advancing creative, cross-sector, and collaborative solutions to thorny issues in public and population health, including helping clients explore and execute social impact investment projects leveraging the Pay for Success model. She was drawn to Quantified Ventures because she likes to work in a fun and dynamic environment where she be challenged, challenge others, and learn from those experiences.
With over 20 years of experience in the strategic consulting and health care fields, Alison excels at strategy and partnership development, innovation and design thinking, collaborative network building, and program design and execution. An entrepreneurial thinker, Alison champions the use of data to generate evidence and insights that can inform new approaches to old problems. She brings substantive expertise in community-based health improvement, measurement and evaluation, health information technology and exchange policy, consumer eHealth, and multi-stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining Quantified Ventures, Alison was a Senior Director at AcademyHealth, where she partnered with public and private sector funders to advance population health improvement, drive toward delivery system transformation, and accelerate research capacity. Previously, she served as Assistant Director of food and health policy at the National Consumers League, and spent eight years conducting health, economic, outcomes, and market research on behalf of life sciences and health care clients.
Alison earned a B.A. in English, and an M.S. in public policy analysis from the University of Rochester. A 20+ year resident of the nation’s capital, she considers Washington, D.C., her home. When she’s not strategizing about financing health outcomes, Alison enjoys dancing, cooking for friends, trying her best at beach volleyball, and goofing around with her son.
